Modern Packaging seeks a Mechanical Drafter responsible for supporting the Mechanical Engineering group with regards to basic designs as well as documentation.

Principle duties:

* Create 2D documentation with appropriate dimensions and tolerances from 3D model

* Basic design work under engineering or management supervision

* Prepares proper bills of material based on design

* Create and manage the assembly documentation for all machine projects on the production floor

* Support Technical Writing Personnel with creation of manuals

* Assist Aftermarket team with identifying components on equipment, updating manual drawings, and updating Bill of Materials.

These components, along with local and national compensation survey data, contribute to determining a candidate's potential starting rate of pay. Total compensation includes your base salary, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability, paid time off, and a retirement savings plan with company match.

There is no waiting period for benefits - you are eligible on your first day of employment. Base Salary Range: $30-$40 per hour.

Requirements/Capabilities:

* Solid understanding of drafting

* Basic understanding of design

* Ability to work independently and with limited day-to-day supervision

Experience/Training:

* 2+ yrs experience Manufacturing

* 1+ yrs experience Mechanical Drafting

* Experience working with Autodesk Inventor preferred

Education:

* High School Diploma

* Technical Trade School or Associate Degree preferred
