Industrial Tank Cleaning Technician

The Tank Cleaning Technician will clean the interior and exterior of storage tanks, processing tanks, pipes, and ducting using manual and powered tools.

• Remove and properly dispose of liquid and solid material from industrial storage containers and conveyance systems.
• Operate powered tools such as power-washers, jack-hammers, and air-chisels.
• Drive and operate powered industrial trucks.
• Use manual tools such as scrapers, shovels, and brooms.
• Assist team members in daily operations.
• Perform housekeeping and safety tasks.
• Maintain personal and company tools and equipment in a clean, serviceable condition.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience preferred.
• Travel up to 75% required.
• Valid Driver’s License, Clear Background and MVR, and TWIC required.
• Pass drug screen, pre-employment physical, and all required background checks.
• Strong knowledge of tank cleaning equipment preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minimal knowledge of hazardous waste preferred.
• Ability to travel and work on-call.
• Reliable transportation.

• Move around plant facilities, use manual and powered tools, and position self to clean tanks and piping.
• Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent exposure to wet and humid conditions, confined spaces, fumes, airborne particles, extreme temperatures, and vibration.
