Power Feed-Thru Systems and Connectors (PFT) is a leading provider of innovative electrical connectors, penetrators, and wellhead accessories for electric submersible pump (ESP) systems. We specialize in delivering high-performance, reliable solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety in demanding downhole environments.

We are seeking a Design Engineer to develop and optimize our family of product offerings. This role will focus on product design, testing, and continuous improvement to drive innovation and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical feed-thru products, and related accessories for ESP and artificial lift systems from concept to production.
  • Utilize 3D modeling and drafting (Solidworks) to create detailed product designs.
  • Conduct engineering calculations, tolerance stack analyses, and material selection.
  • Oversee prototype manufacturing and coordinate with Supply Chain.
  • Lead testing programs, including assembly, test setup, and data analysis.
  • Perform failure analysis and refine designs to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and non-conformance reviews.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Customers to develop and introduce new products to the market.
  • Provide ongoing support for existing product lines and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • 3+ years of experience in designing electrical connectors, wellhead systems, or related products for ESP systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles, sealing technologies, and material compatibility.
  • Hands-on problem solver with a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Customer-focused, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
