Process Engineer II - Petrochemical Unit support
Burrow Global is seeking a Process Engineer with a strong background in petrochemical manufacturing to provide unit support at a petrochemical facility in Deer Park, TX.
The successful candidate will optimize chemical manufacturing, focusing on safety (PSM/RMP), efficiency, quality, and new product scale-up, involving process control, continuous improvement, MOCs, PHA, project support, data analysis, and cross‑functional teamwork with operators, maintenance, and business partners to drive operational excellence and reliability.
Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas:
- Safety & Compliance:
Implement and manage Process Safety Management (PSM) & Risk Management Plan (RMP), lead PHAs (Process Hazard Analyses), support MOCs (Management of Changes), and ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) procedures. - Process Optimization:
Drive efficiency, reduce costs, improve product quality, and standardize processes using continuous improvement tools (like Lean Six Sigma). - New Product/Process Introduction:
Lead manufacturing trials, validate new technologies, and support scale‑up from pilot to full production. - Technical Expertise:
Serve as a subject matter expert, troubleshoot complex issues, analyze data, and provide technical support for automation/control systems (DCS, PLC). - Cross‑Functional
Collaboration:
Work closely with operators, maintenance, project engineers, business partners, and customers to execute operating plans and drive projects. - Project Support:
Assist with capital projects, providing input on design, operability, and supporting commissioning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of unit support experience in a petrochemical manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, project management, and data analysis skills;
Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus. - Active TWIC Card
