Payroll Clerk

We are seeking a diligent and resilient Payroll Clerk for a long-term temporary assignment at our Deer Park office. This role is critical to ensuring our field crew of approximately 350 individuals is paid accurately and on time. You will be the primary point of contact for timesheet verification and data entry, working closely with site foremen to resolve discrepancies.

While this is currently a temporary position, there is long-term potential for the right candidate as corporate needs evolve.

Salary: $21 – $23 per hour

• Data Entry & Verification:
  Process and manually enter approximately 30 timesheets per day (covering 1–8 employees each) into our system.
• Field Communication:
  Proactively contact foremen to correct missing or inaccurate information on emailed timesheets.
• Payroll Accuracy:
  Ensure all hours are verified and approved to prevent over payment or underpayment; tax calculations are handled by the corporate office.
• Reporting:
  Utilize SharePoint for expense report tracking and JD Edwards (JDE) for broader payroll data management.
• Administrative Support:
  Print, organize, and file payroll records as needed to maintain a clear audit trail.
