Customer Service​/Sales

Overview

Customer Service/Sales associates provide fast, friendly service by actively seeking out customers to assess their needs and provide assistance. Associates learn about products using our tools, and provide information to customers in order to sell an entire project. They greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in their department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments. They maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, and ensure it is clean, shop-able, and safe.

The role requires following safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, correcting hazards or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty, and working safely to protect themselves, co-workers, vendors, and customers. The position works with the Department Supervisor and other department associates, and may involve various store departments (e.g., Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental).

Base pay range: $17.50/hr - $20.50/hr

• Follow all safety policies and standards, complete required safety training, and promptly address hazards or unsafe conditions or report them to the Manager on Duty.
• Collaborate with Department Supervisors and other department teammates.

• Customer service mindset with ability to learn product information and apply it to sales.
• Ability to work with team members across multiple departments and maintain a safe work environment.
