Summer Lifeguard

Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and responsible Summer Lifeguards to join our Aquatics team at The Summer Club. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will play a key role in preventing accidents and responding swiftly to emergencies when needed.

• Monitor waterpark attractions, pools, and surrounding areas to ensure safety and enforce rules.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, performing rescue and first aid.
• Maintain constant surveillance of guests and monitor waterpark activities.
• Provide customer service by interacting professionally and friendly.
• Assist with maintaining cleanliness, picking up debris, checking water quality, cleaning decks.
• Participate in daily safety briefings and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Administer first aid and CPR as necessary, assist until medical professionals arrive.
• Attend regular training, stay up-to-date on lifesaving techniques.
• Assist with other waterpark‑related tasks as required.

• Enforce all pool rules to ensure a safe environment.
• Educate patrons about safety rules and water safety practices.

• Administer first aid, CPR or other emergency care as needed.
• Contact EMS and authorities in case of serious emergencies.

• Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally and friendly.
• Answer questions and provide information about facilities and services.

• Inspect and maintain equipment and facilities to ensure they are in good working order.
• Report any maintenance issues or hazards to appropriate personnel.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks as needed.

• Participate in regular training sessions to maintain lifeguarding skills and certifications.
• Stay updated with latest safety protocols and procedures.

• Certifications: None required. We will train the right person.
• Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and able to perform strenuous tasks, including swimming, lifting, and carrying heavy objects.
• Age: Must be at least 16 years of age.

• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water safety.
• Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to enforce rules and regulations firmly and fairly.
• High level of responsibility and reliability.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Prior lifeguard or related experience is a plus, but not required.

• Outdoor or indoor pool environment.
• Exposure to sun, heat, and varying weather conditions.
• Standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods.

• Full‑time, seasonal position during the summer months.
