Chief Financial Officer – Construction Supply Company
Location:
Norwood, MA (Hybrid for first 6 months, then fully remote)
Salary: 140,000–$160,000 + bonus

We are a fast-growing construction supply and wholesale company with 8 locations across the region and annual revenue exceeding $24M. We’re on the lookout for a hands-on CFO to take ownership of all financial operations and help scale our business efficiently. This is a high-impact role, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys building structure from the ground up.
About this Role
The CFO will lead finance and accounting functions across multiple locations, optimize financial operations, and partner with leadership to drive strategic business decisions.
Responsibilities- Lead the full finance and accounting function across multiple locations
- Manage month-end close, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Optimize accounts receivable, billing, and collections processes
- Supervise audits including annual, 401(k), insurance, and compliance reviews
- Develop and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and FP&A functions
- Manage inventory-heavy accounting and POS / ERP systems
- Lead, mentor, and grow a 4-person accounting team
- Partner with leadership to drive strategic business decisions
- 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
- Proven CFO, Controller, or senior accounting leadership experience
- Strong leadership skills with team management and coaching experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Hands‑on expertise in AR / AP, audits, collections, inventory, fixed assets, budgeting, and process improvement
- Familiarity with Epicor, Focus ERP, Paylocity, and Excel
- Experience in construction supply, wholesale, or other inventory-heavy businesses (plumbing wholesale experience a plus)
- Comfortable collaborating with operations, showroom, and leadership teams
- Base salary
: 140K–$160K + annual bonus - Comprehensive health benefits (high percentage employer-paid)
