Location: Dedham, MA
Pay Rate: $88.51/hour
Work Arrangement: 100% On-Site
AboutThe Role
CPI is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support development of mission‑critical Cybersecurity Manager Applications for a rapidly growing encryptor product line. This role supports the Encryptor Manager and involves close collaboration with cross‑functional engineering teams, working at the cutting edge of secure application development using modern tools and technologies.
What You’ll Do- Support development of cybersecurity management applications for encryption systems.
- Apply systems engineering concepts, principles, and theories across the product lifecycle.
- Develop system designs, including:
- Use Cases
- CONOPs
- Requirements definition and management
- Partner with software engineering teams to define and maintain System Design Specifications.
- Develop and execute test procedures to validate system functionality and performance.
- Participate in integrated product teams, supporting system‑level design, integration, and verification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related STEM field with 8+ years of experience, OR Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
- Agile development experience preferred.
- Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Experience with:
- Systems engineering fundamentals and methodologies
- Requirements development and management
- Test development and execution
- 3-5 years working with software teams on system design specifications
- Working knowledge of SNMP and REST APIs
- ESXi, operating systems, and virtual machine configuration
- Network configuration and troubleshooting
- Integrated Product Team (IPT) experience
- DOORS and/or Cameo
- Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital certificate usage
- Protocol analysis using Wireshark
- UX/UI design exposure
- Passion for designing and delivering complex systems
- Ability to define scope, schedule, and execution expectations
- Strong initiative with the ability to execute independently
- Capable of providing technical direction and leadership
- Effective collaborator across multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to quickly absorb new information and take on increasing responsibility
- Work on mission‑critical cybersecurity and encryption systems
- Support long‑term, stable programs with real national security impact
- Exposure to advanced systems engineering challenges in secure environments
