Assistant Director of Childcare & Preschool – The Learning Experience Dedham, MA

Full-Time Salary: $48,000 – $60,000 per year (based on experience) Requirement:

The Learning Experience – Dedham is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Childcare and Preschool Operations to help lead our high-quality early childhood education center. This is an ideal opportunity for a strong early childhood leader who is ready to grow into (or continue in) a leadership role within a busy, successful daycare and preschool environment.

In this role, you will support center operations, coach teachers, ensure licensing compliance, and help drive enrollment, family satisfaction, and program quality.

• Staff Leadership & Coaching
• Recruit, interview, and onboard early childhood teachers and support staff
• Observe classrooms and provide coaching, feedback, and training
• Support consistent, high-quality curriculum implementation across all age groups
• Build weekly schedules and manage classroom ratios to meet EEC requirements
• Maintain staff files, onboarding, and compliance documentation
• Center Operations & Quality
• Ensure daily compliance with Massachusetts EEC licensing regulations
• Partner with the Center Director to support enrollment growth and family engagement
• Help manage daily operations, staffing coverage, and center organization
• Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented school culture

• Minimum 1 year of leadership experience in a preschool or childcare center (2+ preferred)
• Classroom teaching experience with infants, toddlers, and/or preschool
• Bachelor’s degree in ECE or related field preferred
• Massachusetts Director I & II credentials required
• Strong knowledge of EEC regulations and center operations
• CPR/First Aid preferred
