RN - Pre​/Post​/Ambulatory Care

The Pre Op/PACU RN is responsible for coordinating comprehensive care for surgical patients before and after procedures, including assessment, monitoring, and interventions during recovery from anesthesia. They serve as a vital liaison between the surgical team and patients/families, providing education and support while ensuring safety through diligent post-operative care. The RN plays a key role in outpatient settings by administering IV therapies, inserting and monitoring IV lines, performing dressing changes, PICC line care, and Foley catheter management.

The role requires a multidisciplinary approach within the Pre/Post/Ambulatory Department, emphasizing teamwork, patient safety, and individualized care to optimize surgical outcomes.

This position is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus

Requirements:

40 hours per week - First Shift

6:30 am - 5:00 pm

Weekend Call Rotation

Valid RN license in the State of Indiana

Extensive experience working pre- and post-operatively with diverse surgical patient populations, including emergency, critical care, medical/surgical, and ambulatory surgery settings.

Proficient in managing patients during emergency situations, providing critical care, and supporting recovery in medical and surgical units.

Skilled in moderate sedation protocols and cardiac monitoring, ensuring patient safety and stability throughout perioperative and post-operative phases.
