Position Overview
Job Title: Logistics Coordinator Truck Traffic – Decatur, IL
Department/Function: Logistics, Transportation, Warehousing, Supply Chain
Location: Decatur, IL – Illinois
This is an exempt level position. The position is responsible for arranging the movement of freight from ADM plants and distribution centers to our broad customer base. It will secure truck capacity that meets freight needs in a cost‑effective and efficient manner, acting as liaison between ADM divisions and truckload/LTL carriers.
Position SummaryThe role coordinates freight movement, secures truck capacity, and facilitates communication between internal divisions and external carriers.
Job Responsibilities- Maintain working relationships with contracted carriers
- Work with Carrier Development to bring on and develop new carriers
- Participate in divisional meetings to maintain relationships
- Collaborate with the payables team to ensure ADM rates are accurately maintained
- Quote rates to divisional Customer Support groups and Sales Persons
- Monitor daily reports and ensure freight for assigned locations is covered by requested ship dates
- Track posted loads on the web and work to cover freight at lowest cost
- Work with Customer Support representatives to track and trace freight
- Participate in carrier meetings as needed
- Participate in carrier scorecard discussions
- Combine LTL shipments into truckload shipments to reduce cost
- Create a personal development plan and work with supervisor to implement it
- Create individual goals and objectives and report progress
- Work with payables to resolve carrier freight bill discrepancies efficiently
- Review pricing between modes and work with divisions to ensure freight moves on the correct mode
- Track and report cost savings versus established benchmarks
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Good internal customer focus and ability to build relationships internally
- Ability to work alone or in a team environment with various types of people
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

Pay RangeBase pay range: $54,600.00 – $
Hourly and salaried non‑exempt employees will also receive overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
Employees will be in an “at‑will” position; the Company reserves the right to modify base pay as needed.
