Essential Duties / Responsibilities
  • Responsible for sales of educational curriculum products into K-12 school districts.
  • Drive sales opportunities within the assigned territories and accounts.
  • Develop regional account plans and manage sales pipeline to achieve sales targets and drive successful results.
  • Consultative sales of very large deals with sales cycles of 6-9 months.
  • Manage sales team of approximately 8 outside sales executives.
  • Set team member objectives, measure sales activity and evaluate performance against objectives.
  • Provide hands‑on leadership of a regional sales team.
  • Hire, train and cultivate sales team.
  • Develop new business opportunities leveraging network of customers, current client relationships, and prospect leads.
  • Achieve defined sales objectives.
  • Insure customer satisfaction with responsive account management.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experienced Sales Leader with a proven track record of exceeding targets by growing and managing high performing sales teams.
  • Extensive experience selling into educational markets (K-12).
  • Consultative sales experience closing large deals within the K-12 market.
  • Proven success negotiating very large deals within the education space.
  • Proven success as an account executive/sales executive in previous roles.
  • Hands‑on sales manager with consistent success driving sales teams.
  • Must be able to create and execute business plans, and be detail oriented with excellent planning and follow up skills.
  • Energetic, self‑starter with strong work ethic and excellent track record of success.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong business and technical knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent motivator and mentor.
  • Experience using
  • BS/BA required.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent travel by airplane and automobile.
  • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. when traveling and/ or carrying materials to and from sales meetings and destinations.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements for frequent use of computer keyboard and mouse.
Work Conditions

Home office; extensive travel via automobile and airplane.
