Consumer Loan SpecialistCompany: Mariner Finance
Location: On-site/in office
Hours: full time - 40 hours per week
Reports To: Branch Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
ScheduleFull-time, 40 hours. Monday through Friday. Saturday hours required seasonally and as business needs require. Work hours will depend on the business hours of the time zone serviced. To the extent permitted by law, the Company may, in its sole discretion, change the work schedule to address business needs.
In This Role, You Will:Support branch operations by learning functions of consumer finance and demonstrating proficiency by meeting or exceeding your individual sales and delinquency targets/goals. You will primarily support sales and collections efforts of the branch through respectful, compassionate, and efficient customer service. Responsibilities- Handles inbound customer support calls.
- Manages outbound sales and collection calls.
- Contacts customers with past due balances to offer possible solutions and resolve delinquency.
- Completes full-cycle credit loan application process.
- Analyzes credit and financial information for current and potential customers.
- Consistently achieves monthly sales goals related to company products and services.
- Learn Federal, State, and Local Application Consumer laws to ensure compliant actions.
- Maintains a cash drawer, including processing payments and delivering daily deposits to specified financial institutions as required.
- May perform additional functions depending on market demand and branch staffing to provide consistent quality customer service.
- Provide exceptional customer service by proactively solving problems, presenting loan solutions based on customer needs, and enthusiastically presenting all available sales products.
- 1+ years of experience in a sales position.
- High school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Highly motivated individual with an interest in the consumer finance industry.
- Capable of creating and sustaining individual sales goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use various technologies and learn new programs.
- Complete functions in a timely manner while maintaining accuracy.
- Must be able to obtain any essential licenses required by the state.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a customer service or sales position.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs with the ability to learn financial services programs.
- Ability to complete essential duties/functions in a timely, accurate manner.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and interpersonal skills in demanding situations.
- Must obtain applicable, required licenses to sell insurance products offered to customers by the branch.
- Must perform work related tasks at the assigned branch location except in the event of an emergency as determined by the company in consultation, as necessary, with applicable regulatory agencies.
- Cash Handling, selling and/or collecting experience.
- Some college coursework.
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English.

Hourly rate is commensurate with skills and experience. This role is also eligible for a competitive incentive program based on individual and company performance.
