Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse in the ICU provides skilled nursing care to critically ill patients in a 22-bed unit. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team. The role requires a minimum of two years of ICU experience and the ability to work 12-hour day shifts, including weekends if needed.

Location:

Decatur, Illinois, United States

Responsibilities:

- Provide skilled nursing care to ICU patients.
- Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage PICC lines and initiate IVs.
- Document patient care in Cerner.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.

Required Skills &

Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience.
- ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.
- Clinical Assessment, Medication Administration, and Treatment Planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary Team Collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills &

Certifications:

- Cerner experience.
- Dialysis experience.

Special Considerations:

- Must be willing to work weekends if needed.
- May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without pay.

Scheduling:
- 3x12 hour day shifts ).
- Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
- Weekend work may be required.
