This position is responsible for field repairs of control devices in production areas of the plant. It reports to the Area Power & Controls Resource or Plant Coordinator and follows daily direction. The role provides several job‑specific benefits including tools, uniforms, an annual boot allowance of $200, and Technical Skills trainings.

- Obey all safety rules and identify and correct potential safety problems
- Use instrumentation knowledge and maintenance/test equipment to repair instruments
- Use precision‑measuring equipment to test instruments for performance during repairs and preventive maintenance
- Follow SOPs and/or PM task instruction sets
- Demonstrate mechanical/electrical knowledge to analyze and solve problems on process systems & instrumentation
- Use PLC logic, P& & electrical schematics as a system diagnostic tool
- Configure and calibrate control system instruments with HART communicator
- Troubleshoot motor control circuits and 4‑20mA instrument control loops
- Maintain and calibrate process analyzers including continuous emissions monitors
- Maintain discrete and analog control valves; level, pressure, flow, temperature, or analytical transmitters
- Troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC control systems, VFDs & Soft Start motor controllers, PLC network communications
- Maintain and troubleshoot various other industrial controls & devices
- Show strong understanding of industrial electrical equipment (motors, starters, motor control circuits, electrical schematics)
- Show strong understanding of industrial process instrumentation (level, pressure, flow, temperature)
- Interface with a CMMS to record labor, locate spare parts, and identify storeroom locations
- Provide preventive maintenance to instrumentation, including process analyzers
- Work effectively in a team environment with Primient & contract employees or individually as required
- Communicate and collaborate with other groups (maintenance mechanics & production technicians)
- Use basic Microsoft Office 360 software
- Lift equipment and tools up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance
- Use hand tools above shoulders, under ergonomically stressful conditions, and under application of heavy force
- Work in elevated positions with hand tools and fall restraint equipment
- Wear personnel protective equipment (PPE)
- Pass pulmonary test required prior to wearing breathing air mask
- Climb stairs and ladders with tools when safe
- Work from heights, in cold and hot environments
- Climb a vertical ladder up to 15 ft
- Climb several flights of stairs multiple times a shift
- Stand for prolonged periods of time
