This role is responsible for field repairs of control devices in production areas. The position reports directly to the Area Power & Controls Resource or Plant Coordinator and takes daily direction from plant leadership. It offers a combination of hands‑on technical work and teamwork across maintenance, production and engineering.

• Obey all safety rules and identify and correct potential safety problems.
• Maintain and repair instrumentation, including continuous emissions monitors, level, pressure, flow, temperature, and analytical transmitters.
• Use precision‑measuring equipment to test instruments during repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Follow SOPs, PM task instruction sets, and configuration/calibration procedures for controls.
• Analyze and solve problems on various process systems using PLC logic, P& and electrical schematics.
• Configure and calibrate control system instruments with a HART communicator.
• Troubleshoot motor control circuits, 4‑20 mA instrument control loops, Allen Bradley PLC systems, VFDs, Soft‑Start motor controllers, PLC network communications, and other industrial controls.
• Maintain and troubleshoot discrete and analog control valves.
• Use a CMMS to record labor, look up spare parts and identify storeroom locations.
• Provide preventive maintenance to instrumentation and process analyzers.
• Communicate and work with maintenance mechanics, production technicians and contract employees in a team environment.
• Use basic Microsoft Office 365 software.

• Lift equipment and tools up to 50 pounds without mechanical assistance.
• Operate hand tools above shoulders in ergonomically stressful conditions.
• Work in elevated positions with fall restraint equipment.
• Wear personnel protective equipment (PPE).
• Pass a required pulmonary test before wearing a breathing air mask.
• Climb stairs and ladders (fixed/portable) while carrying tools.
• Work from heights, in cold and hot environments.
• Climb a vertical ladder up to 15 ft and several flights of stairs multiple times per shift.
• Stand for prolonged periods, bend and twist at the waist and knees.

• Starting pay of $39.31/hr + overtime.
