This is a full-time, hourly, entry to mid-level position, depending on experience. Pay Rate:
Based on experience, starting at $29.93/hour. Shift: 1st Shift, Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm with overtime potential until 4:30 PM.

We have repair and new equipment machinist positions available on day shift at the ADM Mechanical Facility. Machinists need to be experts in operating manual machining equipment with minimal assistance. Candidates should have experience machining on stainless steel and carbon steel. Machinists need to be able to read and work from blueprints. Candidates should have the ability to work safely and emphasize quality.

Colleagues will work in a team atmosphere to fabricate and machine equipment for capital projects and maintenance. There will be no out of town traveling and overtime will be worked as needed.

• Operate manual machining equipment with minimal assistance.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Fabricate and machine equipment for capital projects and maintenance in a team environment.

• Able to work safely in a team environment and be quality-conscious.
• Able to be an excellent machinist on manual lathes and mills, and functional on CNC equipment.
• Able to read and interpret blueprints.
• Previous experience in machining and precision measuring is required.

• Exhibit regular and prompt attendance and maintain attendance record in accordance with company policy.
• Experience in manufacturing, production and/or similar military environment (preferred).
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written).
• High School diploma or equivalent (preferred).

• New colleagues will undergo on-the-job training to acquire skills and certifications, assessed according to established standards.
• Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental training.
• Participate in company planner operations training.
• Equipment training may include but is not limited to JLP, Forklift, Non-DOT Truck, Reach Lift, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.

• Ability to move about a work site by ascending/descending stairs, bending, kneeling, and prolonged periods of standing and sitting, with frequent stooping and squatting.
• Ability to operate equipment or machinery at different heights; may require work on ladders, scaffolding or in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift and transport materials and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds frequently, up to 55 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds overhead.
• Requires ability and willingness to wear respirators.
• Ability to walk up to two miles during a workday on uneven surfaces.

• Ambient production environment; may be hot or cold and indoors or outdoors.
• Atmosphere: dust and odors associated with manufacturing; peanut allergen present.
• Must be able to work around noise levels that may reach or exceed 85 decibels and wear hearing protection.
• Company-provided PPE required: uniforms, hardhats, earplugs, safety glasses, hair restraints, steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety harness as needed; respirator users may have additional requirements.

ADM requires successful completion of a background check and medical clearance.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Overtime pay applies for qualifying hours.
