Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 18 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Travel experience is required from any number of months.

• Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred from any number of months

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:
Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL and no current placement allowed at Program:
Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL.

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program:
Aya Program - Memorial Health System - IL and no current placement allowed at Program:

Required Skills/Experience: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Tracheostomy care/management, Colostomy care and management, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin, Insulin, PCA, Telemetry - remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Med/Surg, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, and Renal failure.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience and Teaching Hospital Experience

Skills:

Phlebotomy, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur Evac, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Pre/Post Thoracic Surgery, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), Pre/Post neurosurgery, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, IV insulin protocols, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Ortho trauma, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Total joint replacement, Surgical drains, and CBI’s.

Required Credentials: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Unit/Facility Details: Parking Cost: parking permit required, no cost. xrlwcon Will fill out form during orientation

Shift & Scheduling: Will work every other weekend. No call required

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2
