Weekend availability required

We seek patient and dedicated caregivers to assist adults with developmental disabilities in their neighborhood home. Our Caregivers/DSPs provide support to adults living in CILA homes (Community Integrated Living Arrangements) with around-the-clock care. Developmental Foundations, a family-owned company providing quality residential services since 1986, is hiring Caregivers/DSPs for our group homes in Decatur, IL.

• Network of support – trainers, nurses, supervisors, and co-workers

• Work schedules may include a combination of weekdays, weekends, and holidays

• $18.75 per hour

• DSP training is provided and paid. Once trained, you will become a certified DD Aide and be added to the Health Care Worker Registry (HCWR)

• DSP or CNA experience beneficial, but not required
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required
• Entry level position. Training is provided and paid!

• High school completion or equivalency – high school diploma, signed transcript including graduation date or G.E.D. required
• Successfully complete and pass background check
• Weekend/holiday availability may be required

• Companionship and caregiving
• Housekeeping and meal preparation

• Assistance with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and grooming
• Ability to stay alert and responsive at all times
