OverviewThe Manager, Medical Staff Office will manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Hospital Medical Staff Office, leading the team and supporting the Hospital Chief Medical Officer and physicians in organized medical staff leadership positions. The role embodies the Memorial Health values of Safety, Integrity, Quality and Stewardship.
Education- Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational leadership or another health‑related field; in lieu of a degree, relevant experience may suffice.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in medical staff services.
- Experience maintaining collegial relationships with physicians, allied health professionals and leadership team members.

- Assist the Chief Medical Staff Officer in developing policies, procedures and mechanisms to support the organized medical staff under Medical Staff Bylaws and external regulations.
- Provide administrative support for credentialing processes of medical/allied health staff.
- Coordinate functions/activities of Medical Staff Departments and Committees, including meetings.
- Manage and coordinate the Hospital Medical Executive and Credentials Committees.
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the Hospital Medical Staff.
- Assist in developing and updating privileging criteria in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer.
- Embodies the Memorial Health System Performance Excellence Standards:
Safety, Courtesy, Quality, Efficiency. - Assist with data management for peer review.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with all participants of organized medical staff departments/committees.
- Stay current on healthcare environment changes affecting organized medical staff.
- Support the SMH Quality and Safety Management Committee of the SMH Board of Directors.
- Perform other related duties as required.
