Responsibilities
The Certified NP/PA is a member of a multidisciplinary team responsible for the evaluation and treatment of patients with vascular disease. Utilizing advanced knowledge and clinical expertise, the Certified NP/PA acts as a clinician, coordinator, consultant, educator, leader, and researcher. The SIU Division of Vascular Surgery offers compassionate care for patients, their families and the medical community in Illinois and nationally, and delivers state-of-the-art and innovative surgical treatment, education and research.
The SIU Division of Vascular Surgery is a leader in patient care, research, and educating the physicians of tomorrow. The ideal candidate will be team-oriented and have an interest in teaching.
SIU School of Medicine is located in the historic capital city of Springfield, Illinois with a population of 120,000 serving over 2 million throughout central and southern Illinois. The SIU Medical School has received national and international recognition for innovation in medical education and offers a welcoming environment for dedicated clinicians who love to teach. Our regional presence includes collaborations with HSHS St.
John’s Hospital, Springfield Memorial Hospital, and Decatur Memorial Hospital as teaching and patient care sites.
Must be a graduate of an accredited NP or PA program, have received a passing score on the national certifying exam, and be able to be licensed in the State of Illinois. Sensitive to the needs of underrepresented minority populations.

The budgeted annual salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000. Additional incentive compensation may also be available for clinical work performed beyond the standard scope of responsibilities. The final salary offered will be determined by a thorough assessment of available market data, internal salary equity, candidate experience and qualifications, and budget constraints. This is a security-sensitive position. Pre-employment background screenings required.
