Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Locum Tenens position in Decatur, Illinois. Join a Magnet-designated facility and Level I trauma center’s Family Birth Center, and contribute to maternal and newborn healthcare. • Deliver comprehensive care for laboring patients, including high-risk antepartum and postpartum management
• Assist with sterile speculum exams, triage obstetrical patients, and perform non-stress and oxytocin challenge tests
• Monitor fetal heart rates using external and internal fetal monitoring; respond to abnormal patterns
• Administer medications such as antihypertensives, magnesium sulfate, pitocin, and prostaglandins
• Circulate for C-sections, assist with vaginal deliveries, and manage hemorrhage/shock situations
• Perform APGAR scoring, radiant warmer/thermoregulation, and newborn assessments
• Educate parents on newborn care, discharge instructions, and circumcision care
• Float to Pediatrics unit as needed to support facility operations
• Maintain isolation precautions and administer vaccines as required

• Active Illinois RN license (or in application process with ETA)
• Minimum 18 months of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring (AHA or Red Cross only)
• Experience in antepartum, high-risk deliveries, Level I Nursery, LDRP, and Mother/Baby care
• Ability to float to Pediatrics as needed
• Preferred:
  Cerner EMR experience and community hospital background
• Must complete compliance requirements and modules promptly
• First-time travel nurses welcome
