Job Description:
Perform Civil Engineering duties in planning, designing, overseeing construction & maintenance of water/wastewater & sewage systems. Create preliminary engineering and design & environmental reports for IEPA & USDA loan applications for water/wastewater system improvement projects. Produce probable project cost estimates & present worth cost analysis tables. Design WTP processes & watermain distribution system from scratch. Calculate hydraulic profiles of existing & proposed water/wastewater treatment plants.
Draft plans using AutoCAD. Prepare project manuals including bidding documents, addenda, technical specifications, work orders, and change orders.
What You Will Need:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, or equivalent, plus 2 years of work experience as a Civil Engineer or Construction Engineer. U.S. permanent work authorization required.
Locations:
Decatur, IL.

This role involves office, field, and construction site work. The ideal candidate will be able to easily adapt to changing work conditions and learn quickly what each project requires.

Construction InspectorJob Description:
Chastain is seeking a motivated and adaptable candidate to fill its Construction Inspector role in its Decatur and Paris offices. This role is responsible for construction oversight and field inspection/sampling.
Preferred Qualifications:
IDOT Documentation Certification and/or IEPA Water/Wastewater Operator Licensure are preferred but not required to apply.

Entry‑level experience. High School Graduate or GED. Familiarity with Microsoft 365.
