Job Description Ameren Illinois is looking for an Engineering Representative Step 1 who will be responsible for the following:

Position Description
* Complete the Engineering Representative Training Program, which includes three gas and electric classroom modules. The employee must successfully pass weekly tests and two final exams with a minimum average score of 70%. Upon completion, the employee should be able to confidently advise customers on proper electric, gas, and lighting policies.
* Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls and email correspondence to gather details for customer-requested projects.
* Use training and company computer systems to initiate, engineer, and complete
* standard design
* customer requests, ensuring adequate electric, natural gas, and lighting service is provided.
* Assist with the initiation of non-standard customer projects by asking appropriate questions and entering clear, concise notes to support other departments in meeting with customers and completing the engineering and design work.
* Participate in quality monitoring and coaching sessions to ensure all customer interactions (calls and emails) meet company standards.
* Maintain positive and productive relationships with customers and colleagues across departments, with a primary focus on customer satisfaction.
* Support team members as needed by assisting with departmental workload.
* Help train new employees on job responsibilities and computer systems.

Position Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Successful completion of high school algebra or above with a grade of "C" or above required.
* Satisfactory completion of courses with a grade C or better in D.C. and A.C. electricity or the equivalent from an accredited university, college or junior college required.
* 1 year experience working with electricity may be considered in lieu of D.C. & A.C. course. If selected, applicants will be asked to provide high school and/or college or junior college transcripts.
