The Custodial Department of MSD of Decatur Township is looking to hire students who are interested in the Environmental Services Industry to support our custodial teams. Your role will include assisting the teams in keeping our classrooms and buildings clean and disinfected. Join our team to help us keep a clean and safe environment for our students and prepare them for tomorrow.

Starting wage $12.50 per hour
Responsibilities and Duties- Cleaning and Disinfecting classrooms, offices, restrooms, and athletic areas.
- Maintain equipment and stock custodial closets.
- Report equipment malfunctions to Supervisor.
- Collaborate with Supervisor for the purpose of ensuring a safe and sanitary school environment.
- All other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with students, parents, school administrators, staff and public and private agencies.
- Provide Transportation to and from work.
- Organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to take direction from Leadership and work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
- Ability to carry 25 lbs.
- Ability to see for the purpose of reading laws and codes, rules and policies, and other printed materials.
- Ability to hear and understand speech at normal levels.
- Ability to communicate so others will be able to clearly understand a normal conversation.
- Ability to reach in all directions.
- Current MSD of Decatur Township student or current Homeschooled MSD of Decatur Township student between the ages of 14 years to 18 years old.
- Provide 3 letters of recommendation from Teachers and, Administrators (required).
- Work after school or during your free period during lunch.
- On the job training.
- Resume Writing Service offered.
- Part-time student custodians will work from 3:00 PM- 7:00 PM or 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
- Positions available at all school locations.
