Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Customer Service Rep to join our team in Decatur, United States. As a key member of our customer-facing staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service and support to our valued clients.
* Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
* Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and effectively
* Process transactions accurately, including cash and credit card payments
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction
* Provide product information and assist customers in making informed decisions
* Manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company policies, products, and services
* Document customer interactions and update records in the company's database
* Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate departments when necessary
* Contribute to a positive and supportive work atmosphere
Qualifications
* Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
* Strong verbal and written communication abilities
* Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
* Proficiency in using computers and relevant software applications
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
* Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy
* Team player with a collaborative spirit
* Flexible and adaptable to changing work conditions and schedules
* Problem-solving skills to address customer concerns effectively
* Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. when required
* High school diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)
* Previous customer service experience is a plus
* Empathetic and patient when dealing with diverse customer personalities
* Willingness to learn and stay updated on company products and policies
