Warehouse, Day Operations, and Driving Responsibilities
The Warehouse Picker/Receiver is expected to lead by example and ensure all projects and day-to-day work are performed in accordance with company standards. This position works closely with the Tile Warehouse Manager daily and will include safe operation of company vehicles for deliveries, transfers, and pickups.
Responsibilities- Loading and unloading inbound/outbound trucks in a timely manner.
- Organizing and putting away material in designated locations.
- Communicating all discovered or suspected material damage or inventory issues to the Tile Warehouse Manager.
- Pulling/compiling customer orders onto consolidated pallets.
- Wrapping and banding pallets to ensure safe delivery.
- Loading and unloading trucks.
- Assisting in customer pickups, ensuring materials are safely loaded into residential vehicles.
- Working together with coworkers to move large and awkward boxes/pieces.
- Assisting in the container receipt process, including physically unloading materials & making system inputs.
- Operating company vehicles to transport materials between locations, make customer deliveries, and perform occasional supply runs while adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols.
- Conducting routine vehicle inspections and reporting maintenance needs.
- Working with the operations team on projects that improve and advance overall operations.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work area.
- Availability to work Monday – Friday during the window of 7:30 am – 5:00 pm.
- Ability to lift and move heavy boxes (50–75 lbs.) regularly.
- Knowledge and experience with forklifts and reach machines required (minimum 1 year).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely.
- Experience driving box trucks or similar commercial vehicles preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work.
