Housing Specialist

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Decatur, GA. As a Housing Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include assisting individuals and families in obtaining suitable and affordable housing, providing case management support, and ensuring compliance with housing policies and regulations. Day-to-day tasks may involve conducting client interviews, assessing eligibility for housing programs, assisting with property applications, liaising with landlords and property managers, and addressing tenant concerns.

You will also be expected to maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and provide information about available resources and social services.

Qualifications

• Experience in Case Management with the ability to assess client needs and develop appropriate housing solutions
• Knowledge of Social Housing and Affordable Housing programs, including eligibility criteria and compliance regulations
• Skills in Property Management and working with landlords, tenants, or property-related activities
• Experience or knowledge in Social Services and connecting clients to community resources
• Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using relevant technology and software tools for documentation and reporting
• A Bachelor s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related fields is preferred
• Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to providing equitable housing solutions
