As a Field Service Technician you will:
Specific skills and experience required:
- Associate’s Degree in electronics, mechanics or a related discipline, or technical training certification in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance.
- High school diploma with 3 years of experience.
- 1 year (minimum) experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or industrial maintenance field service repair and maintenance.
- Strong technical, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and utilize schematics, diagrams and technical manuals.
- Experience using a computer tablet and/or PC.
- Basic computer programs and applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, Salesforce).
- Superior customer relations skills.
- Adaptiveness to multiple, changing priorities.
- Ability to operate in a hospital/ambulatory setting requiring sterile uniform use (provided).
- Ability to work independently as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours when required outside normal business hours.
- Valid driver’s license and dependable personal transportation.
- Experience maintaining/repairing Steris, Getinge, Belimed or similar medical equipment.
- Background in steam fitting.
- Commercial plumbing, HVAC or electrical apprenticeship experience.
Position requires lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, squatting, sitting, standing, and twisting. Ability to spend extended times in a vehicle. Trainees will assist experienced technicians at customer sites including hospitals, operating rooms, laboratories, surgery‑centers, pharmaceutical production facilities, universities, and research centers. Flexible scheduling may be required to accommodate customer needs.
