Registered Nurse

Overview

We are hiring an experienced Operating Room RN to provide essential perioperative care to Veterans undergoing surgical procedures. This is a unique opportunity to work with a supportive surgical team in a high-acuity, multi-specialty operating room within the Atlanta VA Health System.

• Serve as a circulating and scrub nurse across surgical specialties: general, ortho, neuro, vascular, ENT, GU, eye, bronchoscopy, abdominal, thoracic.
• Ensure aseptic technique, perform instrument counts, operate OR equipment, and document all interventions.
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical staff for efficient case management.
• Respond to emergencies with calm and precision, adhering to safety protocols and universal precautions.

• Minimum 3 years of recent OR experience, with less than 6 months gap in practice.
• Graduate of ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in any U.S. state.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Proficiency in both scrub and circulate roles.

• BSN degree.
• CNOR certification.
• VA healthcare experience.
• Leadership and mentorship experience in OR settings.
