Intensive Family Intervention Team Lead Gwinnett and Fulton

The Intensive Family Intervention (IFI) Team Lead will be primarily responsible for supervising the Intensive Family Intervention staff/team and successfully managing program services. This individual is also responsible for providing direct services to clients in accordance with the Department of Mental Health and Addictive Disease (MHDDAD) guidelines while maintaining public awareness of program services.

• Supervise, train, and guide program staff in accordance with the case supervision policy
• Provide direct client services including but not limited to case assessment, treatment planning, therapy, and case closure in accordance with the guidelines

• Build and cultivate a cohesive and positive team environment
• Coordinate intakes and referrals for the program
• Distribute cases and case load(s) to program staff in an equitable manner
• Conduct clinical evaluations upon request and ensure written reports are submitted in accordance with policies and contract requirements
• Effectively write intakes, reports, and closings in accordance with unit expectations
• Utilize a strength-based, family-centered approach to develop treatment plans and provide services within time frames stipulated by the contract
• Ensure compliance with all contract requirements and successfully complete all audits
• Oversee case recording to ensure accurate, timely preparation and submission of reports in accordance with insurance company and agency expectations
• Attend and participate in weekly supervision with direct supervisor
• Establish and maintain referrals and/or contracts for psychological and psychiatric services
• Monitor all contract requirements to ensure that practices and services meet and/or exceed requirements
• Oversee the 24 hours on-call operation to ensure successful operation and effectively communicate is provided to clients
• Perform psychosocial assessments, as needed
• Maintain an up-to-date awareness of child welfare issues, legislation trends and practices through the systematic review of professional literature and networking with state service units and private organizations
• Actively participate in preparation of annual budgets, program goals and objectives
• Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining program operational manuals in collaboration with program staff
• Purchase and distribute appropriate educational materials to promote staff development
• Present educational and informational materials to parent(s) and community groups
• Monitor end of the month reports, while also ensuring timely billing and fee collection
• Review billing statements of other program staff, while maintaining a working knowledge of billing statements
• Review the utilization reports to ensure compliance with the agencies and state’s policies and procedures
• Oversee coordination of care to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Promote continuous development and coaching by encouraging staff to attend networking opportunities that can build their caseload and knowledge
• Coordinate scheduling (i.e., holiday, PTO, etc.) to ensure adequate coverage and availability of services
• Maintain, enhance, and develop positive relationships with referral sources, community agencies, employers, and individuals, as appropriate
• Establish and maintain referrals and/or contracts for psychological and psychiatric services
• Provide consultation to other units/departments as needed
• Attend agency and community meetings, as requested
• Actively participate in internal and external trainings as appropriate and apply newly gained knowledge on the job
• Complete other duties as assigned

• Master’s level degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field of study from an accredited college and/or university
• Active professional licensure (in good standing and in the state of Georgia), such as LCSW or LPC
• At least two (2) years of post-master’s degree experience in a clinical practice role
• At least one (1) year of experience supervising others and a team, strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to perform excellent clinical, therapeutic and crisis intervention skills
