Job Description & How to Apply Below

Our client is a well-run, multi-site company in the greater Atlanta area with a track record of steady growth and a culture where smart people are given real authority. The finance team here does not exist to report numbers after the fact. They sit at the table with division heads, shape how resources get allocated, and help the company figure out where it is winning and where it needs to adjust.

About the Role

This is not a role where you will spend your days in a spreadsheet without context. You will know the business, know the leaders, and be expected to have an opinion. You will report to a senior finance leader and work closely with division managers, sales leadership, and operations to provide the financial perspective that drives day-to-day and longer-range decisions. You will own recurring reporting cycles, lead variance deep-dives, and play a central role in the annual planning process.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and own recurring performance reporting for division leadership, going beyond the numbers to explain what is driving results and what needs attention.
  • Serve as the go-to finance contact for division managers and operational leaders who need analytical support on pricing, cost, and profitability questions.
  • Lead the monthly close-out process for commercial performance, including volume, mix, and margin analysis by customer and product category.
  • Support annual budgeting and rolling forecast cycles, coordinating inputs across the business and stress‑testing assumptions against operating realities.
  • Identify margin leakage and cost inefficiencies within production and operations, and work cross‑functionally to develop corrective strategies.
  • Build models and scenario analyses that help leadership evaluate strategic choices with financial clarity.

Qualifications

  • A four-year degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or similar, with at least 3 years of hands‑on financial analysis experience in a corporate or divisional setting.
  • Someone who can move between detailed data work and high-level storytelling, adjusting how they communicate based on the audience.
  • A business‑minded approach: you are curious about how the company makes money, not just how to model it.
  • High personal accountability and strong follow-through, especially when managing multiple work streams under deadline.
  • The confidence to push back respectfully when something does not add up, and the judgment to know when to elevate.
  • Proven Excel modeling skills;
    Power BI or data warehouse experience is a real advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and the relationship skills to earn credibility across functions and levels.
