Operations Coordinator
Status:
Part-Time (approximately 12 hours per week)
Reports To:
Senior Pastor
Works Closely With: SPRC Chair, Facilities Staff, Finance Consultant, Technology Leads
Position SummaryThe Operations Coordinator provides part-time coordination and oversight for essential non-financial operations at Saint Mark. The role focuses on coordination, operational awareness, and communication across vendors, facilities, and compliance-related functions.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Awareness & Follow-Through
- Maintain awareness of how church facilities, vendors, and contracted services are functioning
- Identify operational gaps or concerns and elevate them to church leadership
- Help maintain clarity around responsibilities between staff, contractors, volunteers, and committees
- Vendor & Contract Coordination
- Maintain a master list of service vendors and contracts (HVAC, plumbing, elevator, pest control, landscaping, security, etc.)
- Track contract renewal timelines and notify leadership when review is needed
- Serve as a point of contact when vendors are onsite or when vendor issues arise
- Coordinate vendor scheduling with facilities staff and leadership
- Facilities Coordination
- Coordinate communication between staff, facilities workers, and outside repair vendors
- Ensure vendors have proper building access when work is scheduled
- Help maintain clarity around building access, keys, and entry
- Compliance & Risk Awareness
- Maintain awareness of required inspections and services needed to keep the building in safe operating condition, including:
- City of Atlanta building inspections
- Elevator inspections and certification
- Fire alarm and safety systems
- Grease trap maintenance
- Pest control services
- HVAC servicing
- Waste management and recycling
- Emergency lighting and exit systems
- Maintain awareness of required inspections and services needed to keep the building in safe operating condition, including:
Approximately 12 hours per week on average
