Position: Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics

Immediate Opportunities:
Full‑time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers

  • 10 PM start time
  • Earnings: $25.50 per hour overtime after 40 hours

Responsibilities
  • Deliver fresh or frozen chicken to plants and warehouses in AL and GA
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
Schedule
  • Tuesday through Saturday
  • 10 PM start time

Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL required; applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a non‑exempt interstate DOT medical card
  • 1 year of documented tractor‑trailer experience in the last 3 years required, or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • 3‑year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
  • Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function
  • English language proficiency required to comply with federal law (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
  • Work the required schedule and at the specific location, complete Penske employment application, comply with background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
  • Regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive; must maintain constant state of alertness and work safely, accepting responsibility for own safety and that of others
Physical Requirements
  • The associate must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Must move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms
  • Must lift and/or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally
  • Must legally operate a motor vehicle and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
