Responsible for safely driving a tractor trailer combination vehicle in and around the city, state, job sites and company property, and for the safe and efficient loading/unloading of product.

• Safely drive truck to and from destination applying knowledge of DOT driving regulations and area roads.
• Check loads to ensure product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner.
• Verify directions with plant personnel before leaving the plant to ensure delivery to the correct customer and job site.
• Strive to meet customer expectations, achieving high satisfaction survey results.
• Develop relationships with customers to maximize opportunities and address needs.
• Keep equipment clean using approved materials and supplies.
• Maintain personal appearance neat and clean.
• Maintain contact with supervisor/dispatch to receive and transmit delivery instructions.
• Assist other company employees as needed.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections on truck equipment and supplies.
• Perform roadside repairs, such as installing light bulbs.
• Maintain knowledge of traffic routes.
• Take orders, instructions, and guidance from supervisors and management.
• Promote team concept between him and each company employee and customer.
• Adhere to DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, MSHA regulations.
• Meet or exceed company safety standards.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL Class
  
  A).
• Minimum 1-year experience as a CDL driver.
• No DUI’s or DWI’s in the last 5 years.
• Acceptable CSA score – no more than 3 moving violations in the previous 7 years.

• Read, write, and speak English.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Bilingual a plus.
• Ability to use variety of technology.

• Continuous exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor work.
• Must wear protective equipment while at location.

• Walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing.
• Exert 10-20 lbs continuously, 25-50 lbs frequently, 50-100 lbs occasionally.
• Push, turn, and/or pull controls.
• Must pass DOT physical including hearing test and drug/alcohol screen.
• Must be able to talk and hear while performing duties.
