Industrial Electrician

We are seeking an Industrial Electrician to join our crew in Decatur, Alabama
. As an Industrial Electrician, you ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting. The person in this position will ensure that all electrical systems, components, and equipment are installed professionally and to the specifications of our clients. We seek highly motivated individuals who are passionate and eager to learn and grow within the electrical trade.

• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local, state, and national codes.
• Connect wire to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
• Test electrical systems, equipment, or fixtures, using testing devices, such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, or oscilloscopes, ammeters, or test lamps.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring or equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
• Place conduit, pipes, or tubing inside designated partitions, walls, or other concealed areas, and pull insulated wires or cables through the conduit to complete circuits between boxes.
• Direct, train, or lead crew members to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures.
• Demonstrate the ability to safely use various types of man lifts and hand/power tools, and work from ladders, scaffolds, or at heights above 25 feet.
• Maintain excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and be attentive to detail.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times while representing I.C.E. Contractors.

• High school Diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience with installations, maintenance, and repairing of low-voltage systems.
• Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
• Must be able to pass a drug test, background check, and have a clean driving record within the last three years.
• Valid Driver s License and dependable transportation.
• Experience with operating various types of man lifts and the ability to work at various different heights.
• A passion for the Electrical trade!

• Completion of a Technical or Trade School in the Electrical Trade or similar
• Experience with attending trainings at Tennessee Valley Training Center (TVTC)
• OSHA 10 and/or 30 Certification(s)
