Job Summary:

The Business Intelligence (BI) Project Manager is responsible for managing and executing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring their successful delivery. This role involves daily collaboration with the Business Intelligence (BI) team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment. The BI Project Manager will work closely with the BI Manager to understand project objectives, effectively communicate requirements to team members, and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle to achieve successful outcomes.

This position is remote but may follow a hybrid schedule for candidates located within 60 miles of an Alliance office.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of BI projects, ensuring they meet business requirements, are completed on time, and align with key milestones and deliverables, while effectively managing resources and providing regular progress updates.

• Collaborate with BI engineers to ensure project clarity, remove blockers, and facilitate seamless communication within the team, across functions, and with BI leadership for successful project execution.

• Facilitate team meetings (sprint planning, standup) and ensure clear communication of project goals, expectations, and priorities.

• Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks by proactively resolving issues and implementing risk management plans in collaboration with the team.

• Regularly review and interpret data from the source systems feeding into BI tools to ensure quality and consistency.

• Ensure project deliverables meet the required quality standards and business objectives.

• Conduct post-project evaluations and identify opportunities to improve data rigor.

• Own project documentation, beginning with capturing requirements in Jira to enable project and task priority management.

• Oversee that proper technical documentation is being maintained accurately and in a centralized location by the BI team throughout the data and BI process, from data ingestion to modeling to data visualization.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proven experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar. Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.

• Excellent leadership, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven track record.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of US based experience as a data analyst, data engineer, BI engineer, or related role.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at desk while using a computer.
