Overview

This position offers a unique opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in early childhood education to provide leave coverage across four schools serving Pre-K students in Decatur, AL. The role is ideal for a licensed SLP experienced in working with a mixed caseload, including mild to moderate speech and language needs, supporting children aged 3 to 5 years old.

• Provide speech-language therapy services itinerantly across four school locations with a focus on Pre-K students
• Manage a mixed caseload of approximately 35 students presenting various speech and language challenges
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school guidelines
• Report directly to the designated supervisor to ensure alignment with district goals and student progress

• Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Experience working with Pre-K aged children (3-5 years old)
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with mixed speech and language needs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to travel between multiple school locations as an itinerant provider

• Duration:
  March through May 2026 (leave coverage)
