Overview
Under the direct supervision of licensed nurses, the Emergency Room Attendant performs various duties to assist in the care of patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Obtaining EKGs
- Venipuncture
- Ambulation assistance
- Toilet assistance
- Feeding
- Measuring vital signs and blood glucose
- Transporting
- Education/Licensure:
Must have high school diploma or GED. - Experience:
No previous experience required, but preferred. - Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
