DescriptionUniversity Hyundai of Decatur is looking for an experienced Quick Lube Tech! The ideal candidate has some experience in the processes involved with oil changes, tire rotations, visual vehicle inspections, and other minor maintenance procedures. This could be a great start to a career in the field of automotive service! Lube Tech must provide their own tools.
As a Lube Technician, you will serve vehicles as assigned by management following all established standards and procedures. Tasks include rotating tires, performing multi-point inspections, changing automotive fluids, checking oil, tire pressure, filters, windshield wiper fluid, power steering fluid, brake fluid, transmission and differential fluids, and engine coolant. We deliver the highest quality service while maintaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Greets all customers in a friendly, professional manner and helps identify, confirm, and resolve customer concerns
- Performs general maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes and tire rotations
- Executes thorough and accurate inspections to advise on recommended maintenance or needed repair
- Runs tests to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly
- Drives vehicles for testing purposes
- Maintains efficiency and accuracy in servicing customer and dealer-owned vehicles
- Uses power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Quick Lube service experience preferred, but not required
- Must have a positive, friendly attitude with a proven record of achieving exceptional customer satisfaction
- Ability to learn new technology and all repair and service procedures and specifications
- Strong knowledge of automobile repair and maintenance
- Effective analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced environment
- Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
- Must exhibit personal and professional integrity
- Must have a valid driver’s license
