Plant Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversee the activities of the accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial reports and annual audits and annual budgets.
• Oversee the activities of the disbursement department, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, purchase orders, petty cash, employee expense reports, cash control, and payroll processing.
• Oversee the activities of the accounts receivable department to ensure the accurate and timely management of all accounts receivable aging components including billings, cash receipts application, collections, etc.
• Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes and data, and enhance the company s value.
• Respond to CFO as assigned with accurate and timely work to facilitate his financial needs.
• Participate in optimizing inventories in product materials, quantity and aging, and plant supplies.
• Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
• Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• Master’s Degree Preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
• 5+ years progressively responsible experience with a manufacturing company
• Experience managing and leading a company’s accounting department staff
