Assistant Wrestling Coach

Assistant Coach Wrestling Team Responsibilities

• Planning, Organizing and Conducting daily practices
• Assist in management of uniform and equipment distribution
• Develop practice and game strategies in accordance with the Head Varsity Coach plan
• Maintain adequate communication with athletes and parent(s)
• Keep Athletic Director and Varsity Head Coach informed of scheduling changes, athlete and/or parental issues
• Provide support to Head Varsity Coach as needed

• Coaching experience preferred
• Must have basic understanding of technical aspect of wrestling
• Applicants must have playing experience at the high school varsity, club, and/or college level
• Familiarity with the Catholic High School League and knowledge of the MHSAA organizations preferred. Willingness to meet all League and state coaching requirements
• Ability to interact effectively with coaches, administrators, student athletes and parents
• Must take Protecting God's Children workshop, background check, and digital fingerprints
• After School availability (3:00 pm or after) for practices and events
• Saturday availability during season
