Platform Software Engineer- positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the Dearborn office. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance from Dearborn, MI. Provide strong technical leadership to a team of software engineers, guiding and mentoring them to achieve technical excellence.
Set technical direction, define best practices, and ensure adherence to coding standards and software development methodologies. Technical lead as part of an implementation team from concept to operations, providing deep technical subject matter expertise for successfully deployment of Data Platform Implement methods for automation of all parts of the pipeline to minimize labor in development and production. Identify, develop, evaluate, and summarize Proof of Concepts to prove out solutions.
Work directly with product owner, business customers, architects to design, develop, test, and deploy changes, leading software engineers in the same and creating a highly collaborative and motivated team culture. Identify and deploy new tools and ways of working that enable the team to move faster / with greater agility. Creatively solve problems and thrive when faced with new and unique challenges.
