The Global Data Insight & Analytics organization is looking for a Software Engineer - Gen AI to help build and drive the development of generative AI applications that will transform the future of mobility. In this role, you will work in a dynamic, cross-functional team, collaborating directly and continuously with engineers, business partners, product managers, and designers. You will be responsible for developing cutting-edge generative AI applications and systems that can be deployed across various domains within Ford, enabling smarter decision-making, enhancing customer experiences, and optimizing operations.

You'll have...

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• 3+ years of work experience as a backend software engineer in Python with exceptional software engineering knowledge.
  • Advanced working knowledge of object-oriented/object function programming languages:
    Python, C/C++.
  • Strong proficiency with web frameworks and REST API (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django).
  • Experience/understanding in MLOps, Gen AI, AI agents.
  • Experience with ML workflow orchestration tools:
    Airflow, Kubeflow etc.
  • Experience in Dev Ops and CI/CD principles:
    Jenkins, Tekton, Cloud Build, Git Hub Actions etc.
  • Experience with scripting language:
    Bash, Power Shell etc.
• 2+ years of experience with Cloud Engineering, with familiarity in at least one major cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Experience with cloud services, preferably GCP Services like Vertex AI, Cloud Function, Cloud Run, Big Query etc.
  • Experience in container management solutions:
    Kubernetes, Docker.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code:
    Terraform etc.

This position is a range of salary grades 5-7.

* Note:

This is a hybrid role, you are expected to relocate if you are not within commutable distance, and responsible to be on site 4 days a week
