Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our team at the Ford Rouge Dearborn Diversified Manufacturing Plant in Dearborn, MI. This internship provides hands-on experience in operations and environmental management within a manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with the team to assist in various tasks related to shipment oversight, waste management, compliance, and special projects.

Responsibilities and

Job duties:

• Assist with day-to-day activities such as shipment oversight and manifesting.
• Manage paperwork and documentation.
• Conduct weekly and monthly inspections.
• Review waste profiles and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Support the waste management hierarchy and recycling program revamp.
• Monitor and track the oily absorbents rewash program.
• Update recycling stations to encourage waste segregation.
• Explore recycling options for onsite plastics.

Requirements and

Qualifications:

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
