Position Summary:
The Account Manager is responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization’s continuum of care through sales and marketing principles while maintaining strong relationships with key customers. This role designs, creates, and delivers marketing programs to support expansion and growth of company services, products, and brand. It involves discussions related to potential sales growth opportunities and future projects while managing digital assets, marketing campaigns, and digital touch points.
This position owns the development and implementation of strategies for target customer channels, maintenance of analytics, metrics, and campaign reporting. Working on behalf of the UHS hospitals, the role is accountable for understanding budgeted referral calls for each facility and the market overall and for generating the required budgeted referral calls.
The Account Manager implements the facility’s strategic sales plan, enhances the facility’s brand/image, effectively manages their assigned territory and accounts, and works to achieve departmental and facility business development goals.
Hours are based on departmental and facility needs and may include day, evening, and weekend hours, as directed by the department head.
This position supports outreach efforts by marketing Cedar Creek Hospital and Southridge Behavioral Hospital to individuals, families, and community partners.

Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Acts as liaison between the facility and referral sources and implements service-oriented action plans responsive to referral source needs, serves as a resource and representative to the community, and conducts facility tours to key stakeholders.
- Assesses, develops, and implements sales activities to achieve maximum market penetration among assigned accounts and to identify potential accounts in targeted market segments. Develops and communicates appropriate sales messaging for each program offered and for each target audience. Daily monitoring of referral inquiries and admissions statistics. Conducts ongoing analysis to ensure the appropriateness and effectiveness of weekly sales action plans.
- Identifies and builds a strategic sales plan for existing and potential referral sources within the assigned territory and target markets. Builds and maintains positive and productive relationships with existing referral sources and identifies additional referral sources.
- Maintains documentation of assigned top accounts, key contacts, planning reports, client profiles, competitive profiles, and updates as required by the Director of Business Development. Completes all required reports and requests for information in a timely manner.
- Maintains current awareness of industry and anticipates changes or trends in target market, utilizing this information in developing and modifying weekly sales action plans, and providing recommendations to overall business development planning strategies.
- Responsible for maintaining up-to-date information in Med Series 4/MIDAS/MEDIK, including documentation of daily contacts and accurate account information. Displays proficiency in utilizing proprietary reports to appropriately plan sales activity.
- Facilitates positive, timely, and accurate communication. Encourages cooperation and uses problem-solving skills to build and secure relationships among the facility, the referral source, the patient, their family, and the community.
- Attends and actively participates in the Business Development team meetings and provides marketing reports, updates, and Service Recovery opportunities to the Director of Business Development on a timely basis. As required, participate in off-hours sales and community activities.
