Experiential Marketing/Motorsports - Senior Account Executive, Mid-Level - Hybrid

Campbell Marketing and Communications is seeking a professional with a proven track record of managing clients, leading cross‑functional teams, and delivering excellence under pressure. As Senior Account Executive you will have day‑to‑day contact with clients and oversee the implementation of client activities and projects under the supervision of an Account Supervisor or higher.

This is a hybrid role and requires up to 3 days a week on site in Dearborn, MI.

About

The Role

This position supports our high‑profile Sports Car and Off‑Road Racing clients and plays a critical role in executing at‑track activations, developing creative marketing strategies, and managing the full scope of event logistics. From concept to execution, you’ll collaborate with our internal teams and external vendors to deliver standout experiences at the track and beyond.

The responsibilities of this role include program management (40%) and program support (60%). Travel, including weekends and some evenings, is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • With direction from the Account Director, manage complex accounts and be responsible for total project management: proposal, program implementation, and budget and staff management.
  • Work with clients to determine, develop and accomplish strategies and objectives for their programs.
  • Take the lead on research, planning, and implementation of client activities, especially focused on sports car and off‑road racing programs.
  • Take the initiative in moving projects forward, anticipating next steps, solving problems proactively, and adapting quickly in a fast‑moving environment, often with minimal direction.
  • Oversee or execute event logistics, including vendor coordination, on‑site setup and strike, and event staff supervision.
  • Provide guidance and direction to Account Executives and Assistant Account Executives assigned to projects.
  • Serve as a welcoming and professional host for clients and guests at racing events—representing the brand with enthusiasm and authenticity.
  • Assist in developing creative marketing concepts tailored to the motor sport audience and event opportunities.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reconciliation of program costs.
  • Coordinate and attend planning meetings, develop agendas, and ensure clear communication between internal and external stakeholders.
  • Write business correspondence and client communications with clarity, professionalism, and personality.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and all other company policies, procedures, and processes.
Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • 3+ years of experience in event marketing, brand activations, or experiential promotions. Motorsports experience is a major plus!
  • Experience with Contest & Incentive programs and/or B2B sales promotions.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills, especially in business correspondence.
  • Ability to work on a variety of types of programs including, but not limited to motorsports, trade shows, diversity‑based programs, and outdoor festivals.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, while being adaptable in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment.
  • Exhibits strong interpersonal communication skills necessary to build and maintain client relations and build project teams.
  • Ability to utilize personal strengths and weaknesses to advance competency and grow professionally.
  • Strong organizational, budgeting and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated desire to remain current with trends and technology in the marketing arena.
