Job Title: Health Operations Generalist
Job SummaryUnder limited supervision from a senior level manager, the Health Operations Generalist manages day-to-day business operations of an assigned area. The role leads moderate‑scope projects, analyses staffing needs, monitors financial and program performance, and maintains quality standards to achieve program goals.
Responsibilities & Duties- Manage day-to-day operations of an assigned functional area and ensure program goals are completed effectively, efficiently, and timely.
- Evaluate and adjust goals and action plans to meet department objectives.
- Review progress of assignments with senior management.
- Analyze staffing needs and approve hiring for existing programs; support hiring for new start‑up programs.
- Serve as liaison in collaboration with human service providers, funding agents, and public health division to maximize impact of services.
- Promote public health research within served communities and populations.
- Participate in ACCESS’s Arab Health Summit as required.
- Identify and approve training and development needs for department staff and coordinate appropriate training outlets.
- Develop and deliver required department staff training.
- Interpret, apply, and recommend changes to department and organizational policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with department and organizational policies.
- Balance conflicting resource and priority demands to meet customer service expectations.
- Review and approve monthly and annual quality assurance reporting.
- Manage annual audits for the assigned area and maintain agency quality assurance standards.
- Work within budgetary objectives set by the manager.
- Apply knowledge of profit drivers to work processes within the area.
- Build customer relationships and address escalated complaints or concerns.
- Maintain currency in processes related to the assigned area.
- Operate standard office equipment and use required software applications.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Work processes and tools within the area of responsibility.
- Basic principles of development, marketing, and public relations.
- Knowledge of local human service network and public/private funding structure.
- Knowledge in public health practices and research.
- Education: Minimum degree—Bachelor’s;
Master’s preferred. - Experience: At least 3 years in a similar environment or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training approved by Human Resources.
- Licenses/Certifications: None required at date of hire.
- Required Disciplines: Business, Economics, Finance, Education, Public Health or related field.
Normal business hours; some additional hours may be required. No travel required. Climate‑controlled office environment.
