QA Analyst – Automation

We are seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in UI testing and automation. This role combines hands‑on automation development with test coordination across multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be able to manage several testing efforts simultaneously while collaborating closely with developers and reporting progress to senior leadership.

• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for UI-based applications
• Design, create, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test documentation
• Build and maintain automation scripts using Selenium and BDD frameworks
• Collaborate closely with developers, product teams, and senior management to review testing progress and quality metrics
• Manage testing activities across multiple concurrent projects or features
• Log, track, and manage defects through the full lifecycle using defect tracking tools
• Identify and differentiate between minor issues, load defects, and critical showstopper defects
• Perform API testing and backend data validation through database queries and API calls
• Validate data from backend tables accessed through APIs (potentially Ford-related tables)
• Coordinate testing activities with an offshore QA tester, providing guidance and task direction when needed
• Contribute to automation framework enhancements and reporting improvements
• Report testing status, risks, and results using standard test management tools

• 5+ years of automation experience including hands‑on in Java
• Experience managing multiple testing efforts simultaneously
• Must have experience with Selenium / Selenium BDD / Maven
• Must have BDD Framework experience, including with Cucumber (all tickets are written in BDD format)
• Database: SQL for querying and validating backend data
• Experience validating APIs and backend data responses
• Experience testing chatbots or AI‑driven applications
